We honor our stateline area Veterans

The Rockton Township Historical Society has collected information to preserve the memory of the men and women of the stateline area who have served our country in any way in the armed services.  This has been compiled in book form and is now available for purchase by the community in order that we may all remember those who fought and died for our freedom.

The 400 page book with military biographical information on area veterans, copies of military documents and maps, etc. was introduced at a special event at the museum on Sunday, September 27, 2009. Many of the veterans profiled were in attendance with displays of military artifacts.

The book is available for sale at a cost of $25.00.  If you need to have a copy shipped to you, there will be an additional $5.00 charge.

for further information please contact us by either calling 815-629-2210 or 815-624-8200 or by e-mailing us at marilyn@rocktontownshiphistoricalsociety.com.

You may also purchase a book at the Talcott Free Library in Rockton, at Midway Village or at Veterans Memorial Hall in Rockford.
